News Flash…

Men, sending an unsolicited email to a customer/client because you think they’re cute is both creepy and likely a violation of your work ethics policy.

I get it, guitar center dude, you were attracted, I was funny, we bounced jokes off of each other and talked about our old piercings. You might have felt a connection, and didn’t know how to express that, or felt doing so on the job wasn’t cool.

However women have to deal with serious fucking stalking shit on a regular. They get murdered by fucking stalkers and people who make up whole imaginary relationship shit with someone who smiled at them at the store one day. They (mostly stalker gender norm men) then do shit like rape and mutilate them (mostly assigned women (normative and otherwise)) when that imaginary shit isn’t real. You as a man probably don’t think about this as often as women have to. You as a man don’t have to. But keep this shit in mind before you use contact info given just to order a fucking guitar strap to get in touch. Also note, that even if you pretend that you just want to do a customer service follow up, we can fucking tell when you are using that shit as cover for other shit. Using that as cover makes it feel even creepier.
